Porsche Cars Great Britain is offering a placement year role based in Reading to support Vehicle Planning and Operations with analysis and insight. You will lead the fortnightly online vehicle auction, ensure accurate new car volume planning, and report on sales performance to the UK business and Porsche AG.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PCGB online vehicle auction, occurring at least twice per month, selling internal fleet to the Porsche Centre network.
• Support the Production & Tactical Planning Manager with new car volume planning, forecasting and reporting for PCGB and ROI.
• Assist with all Tactical Programmes, including campaign creation, analysis and competitor insight.
• Own the Pit Lane Club helpdesk, assist Centres with questions around incentive management and coaching best practice.
• Provide administrative and analytical support in the production allocation process for the planning team.
• Support the Senior Vehicle Planner with the network production trading marketplace creation and management.
• Assist the Internal Fleet Manager with ordering and production scheduling of launch and training vehicles.
• Assist the Network Operations team with National Stock management to allocate unused vehicles to the network fairly.
• Assist with preparation of business presentations and forecast/sales update reports on ad-hoc basis.

Job description

To support both the Vehicle Planning and wider Operations team with analysis and insight, as well as lead on the fortnightly Porsche Cars Great Britain online vehicle auction. The role is crucial in ensuring maximum return for PCGB and accuracy of new car volume planning. The role will also include analysis of risks and opportunities for Porsche in the UK market and reporting of sales performance to the UK business and Porsche AG.

This is a Placement Year position for a candidate currently studying an Undergraduate degree at university, seeking a placement for their third year.

Responsibilities:

• To lead the PCGB online vehicle auction which occurs a minimum of twice per month, managing the sale of the PCGB internal fleets to the Porsche Centre network, once the vehicles are no longer required.
• To support the Production & Tactical Planning Manager with Porsche new car volume planning, forecasting and reporting topics for PCGB and ROI.
• To assist the Production & Tactical Planning Manager with all Tactical Programmes, including campaign creation, analysis and competitor insight.
• Own the Pit Lane Club helpdesk, assisting Centres with their questions around the incentive management tool and coaching best practice.
• To provide administrative and analytical support in the production allocation process to both the Production & Tactical Planning Manager and wider vehicle planning team.
• Support the Senior Vehicle Planner with the creation and management of a network production trading marketplace.
• To assist the Internal Fleet Manager with the ordering and production scheduling of launch and training vehicles.
• Assist the Network Operations team with the management of National Stock to ensure that vehicles which are no longer required are allocated to the network in a compliant and fair manner.
• Assist with preparation of business presentations and reports e.g. Forecast summaries, Sales Meetings, Performance Updates on an ad-hoc basis.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong level of analytical capability.
• Strong level of IT literacy required, including MS office. Basic level of MS Excel proficiency essential.
• Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are needed for this role, given the complexity of the tasks and the scope of stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• A-Levels inc. Maths or Science would be advantageous due to numerical nature of the role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Interested in the automotive industry and innovation.
