Regional Technical Lead, Global Services, FCDO Services

Based in the UK or overseas, with flexible hybrid working depending on business needs.

We design and construct secure government buildings, courier diplomatic packages worldwide, safeguard government technology, and much more. Our regional hubs in Washington, Brussels, Pretoria, and Bangkok enable us to respond locally to our customers’ needs with the right skills and resources, offering value-for-money services. As part of the overseas team, you’ll work in one of 60 international locations, supporting 280 diplomatic missions worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Inspecting and advising on the maintenance of our overseas estate.
  • Carrying out property inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance.
  • Producing reports and recommendations.
  • Advising on health & safety matters.
  • Providing technical input for small to medium projects, including designing and preparing tender documents.
  • Driving continuous improvement with a focus on health and safety, and attention to detail.
Candidate requirements:
  • Level 4 or higher qualification in building construction and/or building services, or equivalent experience.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Good knowledge of technical standards and health & safety legislation related to buildings.
  • Broad knowledge of building, civil, mechanical, and electrical work.
  • Skills in financial management, IT, and strong communication (verbal and written).
  • Ability to make effective decisions, work efficiently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
