Job Description:

Purpose of your role:

Supporting Regional Performance Managers in managing the day-to-day activity and running of departments within stores. Building relationships, effective coaching of teams, and delivering consistent operational and commercial standards. Driving sales and profitability through the performance and development of the Field Merchandising Teams.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, over 5 days, with flexibility for weekend work.

Driver Requirement: Access to own car is essential as travel is part of the role.

Coverage Area: Postcode areas SS, CO, IP, IG, along with East & West London. Work will be journey planned.

Key Objectives:

  • Support the Regional Performance Manager to implement and maintain operating standards to maximize results and improve service.
  • Support and coach individuals to meet business targets.
  • Be aware of budgets related to payroll and expenses.
  • Be flexible and responsive to Regional Performance Manager requests.

Responsibilities:

Coaching and Leadership:

  • Support in delivering the retail strategy.
  • Communicate business and regional objectives to store teams.
  • Identify underperforming stores, liaise with the Regional Performance Manager, and support performance improvement plans.
  • Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and senior team.
  • Support compliance with promotional and trading activities.
  • Build relationships with store, regional, and merchandising teams.
  • Plan workload effectively and manage time efficiently.
  • Attend team meetings, share best practices, and promote consistency.
  • Support new business development and policy implementation.
  • Foster teamwork, resilience, and high performance culture.
  • Adopt a coaching leadership style.
  • Be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Dee Set systems.

People Development:

  • Deliver training, coaching, and development, including D Learning.
  • Ensure on-the-job training completion.
  • Participate in performance reviews and identify potential for growth.
  • Support HR processes and policies.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure procedures are followed to maximize on-shelf availability.
  • Maintain consistent merchandising standards across stores.
  • Ensure colleagues adhere to customer guidelines and procedures.
  • Deliver fast, friendly, and efficient service to customers.
  • Develop and uphold the Dee Set brand image for exceptional service.
  • Role model excellent customer service and build relationships with store management.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
