Abbotsholme School and Chase Grammar School have been providing high quality education and boardingto both UK and international students for over 100 years, we offer GCSE, A-level, University Foundation and immersion programmes and we will be launching a brand new Abbotsholme Summer School which will run in July and August 2026.

The ethos of the schools is to provide high quality academic tuition alongside an exciting and varied enrichment programmein order to help each and every student achieve the best that they can be. The schools cater for both domestic and international students, with students from over 50 different nationalities progressing to university from Abbotsholme and Chase programmes.

Abbotsholme School is located in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside and Chase Grammar School is located in the town of Cannock, a 30 minute drive from Birmingham.

Description

We are seeking a driven, independent and creative market specialist to join our Student Recruitment team in order to raise our profile and drive student enrolment in thetarget regions. If successful, you will be required to develop our marketing strategy and recruitment campaigns across the region; identify areas of opportunity; manage, support and grow our partner network; drive increased student numbers, revenue and profitability. Ideally you will have a strong understanding of current market conditions, with specific experience of working with UK boarding schools within the region and a well-established network of connections.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief International Officer, but will be given a large degree of autonomy to develop a marketing plan and budget for the region and will therefore need to be independent, creative and able to work on own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for student recruitment into Chase Grammar School, Abbotsholme School and Abbotsholme Summer School.

  • Manage & deliver Student Recruitment targets into the specified programmes, maximising revenue and profitability.
  • Develop & execute annual sales plan for the region.
  • Actively manage the annual regional recruitment budget to ensure maximum RoI.
  • Manage, develop and grow the agent and partner network, through regular market visits, training and attendance at fairs and workshops
  • Deliver best in market customer service and support
  • Manage and develop key accounts to ensure year-on-year growth
  • Counsel and meet parents/students to offer guidance to prospective families and students.
  • Develop links with Government and local business to maximise scholarship and sponsorship opportunities within the region.
  • Promote the group through relevant social media channels to build brand awareness, increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Ensure maximum understanding of the competitor landscape and in-market activity.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to build strong relationships across all teams (admissions, sales, marketing, academic) in order to ensure the highest levels of customer service, efficiency and problem resolution.
  • Provide regular bookings, expenditure and activity reports to the Chief International Officer.
  • Leverage market intelligence to maximise product development opportunities
  • Maintain continuous personal development for yourself and across the Student Recruitment team.

Experience, background and skills

Essential:

  • Proven sales and marketing track record in international education
  • Good knowledge of the international education market, focussed on UK independent boarding schools
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent and proven customer service delivery
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and utilise market data
  • Creative, independent and able to work on own initiative
  • Team player with collaborative approach to building cross regional capacity
  • Ability to organise an extensive portfolio of partners and contacts
  • Good PC and database management skills
  • Ability to send clear and accurate reports
  • Evidence of large network of connections and agency contacts in the region

Advantageous:

  • Ability to communicate in one or more languages of the region
  • Excellent cultural understanding of the region.
  • Experience of tendering for corporate and government contracts
  • Educated to at least degree level
  • Sales and Marketing qualification

Travel Requirements

The successful candidate will preferably be based within the region and will be expected to maintain regular contact and frequently visit agents, partners, institutions, companies and government contacts within the area.You will also be expected to attend a group sales meeting at one of our centres once a year.
