Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Regional EHS Manager to join a leading developer, delivering residential properties across Yorkshire and North East regions. You will be strong operationally and able to build relationships while managing subcontractors and their safety output. Construction/Housebuilding experience is essential, as is team management experience.

Reporting to the Group SHE Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring health, safety, and environmental processes.
  • Ensuring site management focuses on delivering a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Advising sites on project-specific health, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Proactively identifying risks and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Driving safety across the site portfolio in the region.
  • Managing up and down as a confident communicator.
  • Delivering bespoke training sessions.

You should be an experienced professional passionate about Health & Safety, capable of working with people to improve performance. The ideal candidate will also have:

  • NEBOSH Construction or General qualification (ESSENTIAL)
  • Safety & Health Diploma qualification (NEBOSH, NVQ, NCRQ – PREFERABLE)
  • Experience in construction projects and related hazards (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience in housebuilding (PREFERABLE)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards

This role offers an excellent package between £60-65,000 (dependent on experience), plus car/car allowance, bonus, and other benefits. It’s a great opportunity to join a leading contractor and a forward-thinking Health & Safety team.
