As a Regional Senior Care Assistant with Barchester care homes, you'll deliver warm, empathetic, and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help our residents get the most out of life. You can expect to monitor the delivery of care when on duty, contribute to person-centred care planning for each resident, and record observations such as temperature and blood pressure, among other important tasks. The role involves providing support and companionship to ensure every resident enjoys meaningful one-to-one time with our carers every shift.
A background in care is important, with a good understanding of elderly care. You need a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care, with a view to completing an NVQ 3. A good understanding of the healthcare industry is required, along with GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above. You should be dedicated, compassionate, and passionate about supporting residents' wellbeing. Since the role involves traveling across the area, you need your own car or ready access to one. Mileage will be covered when traveling over five miles from your main home, and if during an inspection we achieve a 'Good' rating while you're on duty, you'll qualify for a bonus.
