As a Regional Senior Care Assistant with Barchester care homes, you'll deliver warm, empathetic, and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help our residents get the most out of life. The role involves monitoring the delivery of care, contributing to person-centred care planning, and providing support and companionship to residents.
You can expect to monitor the delivery of care when on duty, contribute to the person-centred care planning process for each resident, and record observations on aspects like temperature and blood pressure. The role is varied and also involves providing support and companionship. It's vital that every resident enjoys meaningful one-to-one time with our carers, every shift.

About the role
As a Regional Senior Care Assistant, you'll deliver compassionate care across a 20-mile radius, monitor care delivery, contribute to care planning, and record observations. Your role also involves providing support and companionship, ensuring residents enjoy meaningful interactions each shift.
A background in care, understanding of elderly care, and a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care are essential, with a view to completing an NVQ 3. A good understanding of the healthcare industry, GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, and a compassionate nature are important. You should have your own vehicle or access to one, with mileage covered over five miles from your main home. If we achieve a 'Good' rating during an inspection while you're on duty, you qualify for a bonus.
