Department: Customer Planning & Scheduling

Regional Scheduler

Hello. We’re Severn Trent and we think water is wonderful. And we’re pretty keen on people, too.

24 hours a day, 365 (sometimes 366) days a year we serve 4.8 million households and businesses across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drank, each toilet flushed is only possible because of the 7,000 brilliant team members working across our patch.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our customers and the communities where they live.

If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Are you tenacious, resilient, and ready to be the driving force behind our waste network operations? We're on the lookout for 6 energetic Regional Schedulers to join our Workforce Planning and Optimisation team.

As a Regional Scheduler, you'll be at the heart of our mission, ensuring that every task is prioritized and executed flawlessly. You'll be responsible for managing the daily operations within your assigned County/Region, making sure that urgent tasks are handled promptly and all constraints are addressed to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with various teams across different functions, ensuring that the right work gets done efficiently. You'll manage both reactive and proactive tasks, coordinating with planning teams to implement long-term solutions. Your ability to adapt and manage schedules will be crucial in meeting our Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and keeping both internal and external customers informed and satisfied.

You’ll work Monday – Friday between the hours of 7am - 4pm and will split your time between Raynesway, Derby and onsite within the region you partner. This will enable in person collaboration with key stakeholders in both Workforce Planning and Optimisation and Waste Networks. So, whether you live in Shropshire or Worcestershire, Gloucestershire or Birmingham, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Wolverhampton, Warwickshire or Derbyshire if you are able to travel we welcome your application.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

We're seeking someone tenacious and accountable, highly detail-oriented, and organized. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential. You should be empathetic, proactive, flexible, and able to stay calm in a crisis while maintaining performance.

Key Skills for a Regional Scheduler:

Organisational Skills:Break down complex tasks and ensure everything is accounted for.

Detail-Oriented:No aspect of the schedule is overlooked.

Resourcefulness:Find creative solutions to scheduling conflicts.

Flexibility and Adaptability:Adjust plans quickly to unexpected changes.

Communication Skills:Strong oral, aural, and written communication.

Technical Proficiency:Skilled in using scheduling software and tools.

Scheduling Principles:Solid understanding of best practices.

Influencing Skills:Manage resources effectively and deliver within SLAs.

Customer-Centric:Proactively keep customers informed.

Data Interpretation:Prioritize the schedule based on data insights.

The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involve. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Working here isn’t just a job. You can build a career at Severn Trent. We’ll reward you for it, too. We have a range of benefits that recognise great work, and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. And we’ll also help you play your part in looking after the environment and the communities where we live.

With that in mind, here are just some of our favourite perks that you’ll get being part of the Seven Trent family:

25 days holiday + bank holidays (and the ability to buy/ sell up to 5 days per year)

Annual bonus scheme (of up to £1,500 per annum based on company performance)

Leading pension scheme – we will double your contribution (up to 15% when you contribute 7.5%)

Sharesave – the chance to buy Severn Trent Plc shares at a discounted rate

Dedicated training and development with our ‘Academy’
