Job Title: Regional Sales Representative – Enterprise Storage & Validation Solutions

Location:

  • West Coast: Fully Remote (Bay Area or Southern California preferred)
  • East Coast: Remote with occasional access to HQ in the Boston area

About the Role

This is a high-impact opportunity for a driven and technically fluent sales professional to join a fast-moving team that designs and sells advanced test solutions for SSD, NVMe, and PCIe storage technologies. With clients that include some of the world’s top SSD controller manufacturers, this role is all about deepening relationships and expanding value within existing accounts—not cold territory hunting.

You’ll be selling sophisticated CapEx validation equipment with average deal sizes around $200K. The sales cycle is typically 30–60 days and requires a consultative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset. Success here isn’t just about getting the PO, it’s about ensuring long-term customer engagement and technical satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Expansion: Own and grow a book of business made up of some of the top SSD and NVMe storage vendors in the world. Your main goal is to drive deeper penetration and broader adoption within existing accounts.
  • Solution Sales: Guide clients through a complex technical sales cycle, listening to their validation needs, demonstrating the value of our test systems, and influencing engineering and leadership stakeholders.
  • Client Engagement: Build trusted relationships with engineering teams, purchasing managers, and executive stakeholders. Maintain consistent communication and be seen as a technical ally, not just a salesperson.
  • Sales Execution: Manage deal pipelines, navigate buyer processes, remove roadblocks, and close business consistently.
  • Strategic Input: Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer insights. Stay up to date on emerging trends in storage and high-speed I/O technologies.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Deliver accurate sales forecasting, maintain CRM data integrity, and communicate regularly with sales leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, and technical support to align customer expectations with internal capabilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experienced Sales Closer: 3–5+ years of success in high-value, complex CapEx equipment sales, preferably in validation, QA, or technical testing environments.
  • Technical Conversationalist: Comfortable having in-depth, technical conversations with engineers, able to speak their language and earn their trust.
  • Self-Starter: You don’t need daily check-ins. You know how to structure your day, prioritize your accounts, and own your territory.
  • Fast Learner: While training is available, the product and its ecosystem are complex. You’ll need the ability to absorb technical information rapidly and adapt in real time.
  • Capable Traveler: Willing and able to travel to customer sites (frequency varies by geography and client needs).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Existing network or book of business in storage, SSD, or validation equipment space
  • Familiarity with NVMe, NVMe-oF, or PCIe technologies
  • Background in enterprise IT infrastructure, embedded systems, or QA test solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required if experience is strong)
