Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Utilise pre-call planning and questioning strategies to understand customer needs and act as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ to make recommendations and move opportunities through the sales phases, including post-call reviews to improve outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve profitable and sustainable growth while providing exceptional customer experiences.
  3. Maintain accurate forecasts, plan activities, and understand sales metrics using CRM to create action plans.
  4. Develop and propose action plans based on transaction trends, close rates, pipeline health, etc., demonstrating a thorough understanding of sales metrics.
  5. Articulate and present key opportunity elements to secure support, with a strong grasp of financial and margin details, engaging in fact-based discussions.
  6. Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, seminars, and support marketing efforts as needed.
  7. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through publications, networks, and professional organizations.
  8. Travel extensively (50%+ regionally) to support customer meetings, trade shows, training, and networking.
  9. Exhibit strong communication skills, professionalism, and integrity.
  10. Collaborate, inspire, and motivate internally and externally, presenting complex information clearly and positively.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Proven sales success (achievements, rankings, stats).
  2. Proficient in CRM systems, leveraging data for opportunities and decision-making.
  3. Professional demeanor aligned with Barry Wehmiller’s values; experience in capital equipment or packaging sales preferred.
  4. Engineering background is a plus.
