We are recruiting for a determined, relationship-driven sales professional to join our successful team as a Regional Sales Manager. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on major civils and drainage projects with a diverse client base in our award-winning team.

What’s the Mission?

Reporting to the Southern Trading Director, you will leverage your sales experience and industry knowledge in your designated patch. Your proactive approach will involve identifying, developing, managing, and converting high-potential drainage and water management sales opportunities across Civils & Drainage products. You will work independently and collaboratively, building strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including specifiers, contractors, house builders, and merchants.

You will develop and execute a regional business plan aligned with the national Civils and Drainage strategy. Delivering excellent customer service and engaging with merchant branches to foster mutually profitable relationships are essential. You will also represent Marshalls at exhibitions and trade events to monitor market trends and competitor activity.

  • Strong commercial experience with stakeholders such as builders’ merchants, specifiers, and contractors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing business through relationships.
  • Creative thinking with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of procurement routes and negotiation skills using technical information.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, confident in delivering messages to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to understand technical product aspects to enhance sales.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Attention to detail in commercial processes and administration.
  • Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and adherence to Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Valid driving license and ability to commute across the UK; living on patch is preferred.
