The Opportunity

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for our AutoCoding business. You will report to our Business Development Director and lead our business development team. You will be responsible for generating, initiating, and closing sales opportunities, responding to new inquiries from existing and new customers. Our site is located in Cheshire, and we prefer you to be based nearby to facilitate communication and engagement, although this role can be remote.

On a typical day, you may:

  • Attend on-site customer meetings, deliver presentations, prepare quotations/proposals, and conduct on-site packaging line surveys.
  • Collaborate with internal sales colleagues within JBT.
  • Recruit, train, and monitor your sales team, setting and reviewing goals and identifying training needs.
  • Guide the team to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Manage full sales cycles from prospecting to closing.
  • Create strategic sales plans, motivate the team, and track progress.
  • Research and analyze market data, set pricing strategies to maximize sales and profit margins for our turnkey solutions.
  • Identify opportunities by monitoring competitor activity.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to explore new markets and increase market share.
  • Develop accurate forecasts and manage the sales pipeline using a CRM system.

Requirements for the Role

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior sales role.
  • Experience selling business applications and complex solutions within manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of the system integration industry or UK food industry is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to build and mentor successful sales teams.
  • Experience creating and selling concept and solution-based proposals.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills with prospects.
  • Excellent commercial negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility to travel around the UK.
