Sales Manager Role

As a member of the EMEA Sales team for HPC and AI, the Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for identifying and developing new business relationships with prospects and resellers within the region.

As we focus on growth within the UK and beyond, the main function of the role is to seek out new business opportunities to win new logos. Therefore, a strong hunter mentality is vital, along with high levels of motivation and determination to succeed.

You will be a strong team player capable of working autonomously, with a positive outlook, a ‘can do’ attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile.

Elevated by recent acquisitions, we continue to provide the most cutting-edge solutions to the global media market and have an important story to tell. Therefore, previous experience in the M&E industry is vital to hit the ground running.

You will report to and be supported by the Solutions Artilect Director and will work closely with Sales Engineering and marketing teams.

Duties
  1. Responsible for identifying and qualifying prospective customers in the region.
  2. Work both directly with prospects and through resellers to deliver new business opportunities.
  3. Manage meetings with identified prospect end-users and resellers independently.
  4. Cooperate closely with the Sales Director, Solution Architect, and other GTM resources.
  5. Ensure resellers/partners are active, engaged, and delivering on target revenue.
  6. Support resellers in closing opportunities by providing necessary information related to offerings and marketing material.
  7. Hunt/Net new customer acquisition through cold calls, seeking out projects, and responding to RFPs.
  8. Run lead generation campaigns to deliver meetings and opportunities.
  9. Present DataCore products and value proposition to HPC and AI prospects/end-users.
  10. Articulate the value proposition clearly and effectively.
  11. Represent DataCore products at local events, trade shows, and forums.
  12. Meet sales quotas and KPIs.
  13. Provide weekly revenue forecasts to the Sales Director.
  14. Conduct quarterly evaluations of results.
  15. Travel within the region (~25%).
  16. Maintain a good understanding of the HPC and AI industry.
  17. Possess a hunting sales mentality and be passionate about setting and achieving goals.
  18. Think strategically, balancing short-term gains with long-term potential.
  19. Be self-sufficient and able to work independently while collaborating with the team.
  20. Have hands-on experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  21. Build and maintain excellent relationships and networks.
  22. Excel in interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  23. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  24. Conduct technical conversations and workflow discussions confidently.
  25. Pay strong attention to detail.
  26. Maintain an open, positive attitude and interest in technology's impact on the future.
  27. Be a go-getter with drive, passion, and enthusiasm.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification.
  • 2-5 years of field sales experience in the HPC and AI industry.
  • Core understanding of HPC and AI technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud and SaaS models is beneficial.
  • Experience presenting to and negotiating with C-level executives.
