A leading company in the tile distribution sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand market share in Wales and the Southwest. The role involves developing the PORCELGRES product line and managing customer relationships, requiring an ambitious candidate with a successful sales background and strong leadership skills. Distribution Supplies Group Limited is a company that consists of three trading distribution companies selling WALL & FLOOR TILES in bulk supply.
We now want to expand our business by leveraging the opportunities and alternative income streams that our products offer, which are currently underexploited.
We are seeking a capable individual with a proven track record in business development to bring the necessary expertise and experience to further develop the PORCELGRES branded products.
The role involves selling and brokering pallet sales and full trailer sales of our product portfolio, which includes wall & floor tiles and patio tiles for domestic and commercial applications.
The focus will be on increasing our market share in WALES & THE SOUTHWEST through hard selling to our existing customer base, primarily tile shops and distributors.
The territory extends from just south of Birmingham along the M5 corridor to the southwest and west of Swindon along the M4. Applicants based in the Cardiff/Avon area are ideally positioned to cover this region.
The successful candidate must be ambitious, self-motivated, and capable of taking control of the task and further developing the sector's opportunities.
They must establish a solid business model to create a profitable sector for PORCELGRES and deliver positive results and growth for our group.
Once established, we are prepared to invest further in the successful individual to accelerate growth.
The applicant should demonstrate success in previous roles, possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and be hands-on in all aspects of the role.
As the business expands, good man-management skills will be necessary to control and motivate a sales team to further expand growth.
Applicants from all market sectors are encouraged, especially those experienced in field-based roles within a reasonable distance of the territory, ideally along the M4 west of Swindon, including South Wales, to actively visit customers.
Salary: Circa £35,000-£50,000 OTE
Company car provided, along with all expenses and benefits appropriate to the role.
