Job Description:

Exail is a global high-tech company specializing in advanced autonomous systems, marine, and photonics technologies. The company designs and manufactures solutions in inertial navigation, subsea positioning, underwater imaging, shipbuilding, tests, and simulation.

The future Regional Sales Manager in the UK will develop sales of Exail's products in defense applications and manage regional sales actions to meet targets. Located in the UK, they will be part of a growing worldwide team of over 75 professionals.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing the sales budget for the region
  • Supporting and developing existing clients through visits, calls, and exhibitions
  • Developing new business opportunities via prospecting
  • Preparing tenders and pre-qualification documents
  • Targeting new business areas
  • Preparing quotations and system proposals with support from HQ and product teams
  • Negotiating commercial terms
  • Planning and coordinating demonstrations with technical teams
  • Managing ongoing programs to meet contractual and customer objectives
  • Preparing and delivering technical sales presentations
  • Managing agents and distributors to achieve sales targets
  • Liaising with technical teams and divisions on project requirements
  • Attending conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events
Analysis, Reporting & Communication:
  • Providing regular, accurate sales reports and forecasts
  • Maintaining customer records and sales data in CRM
  • Building and managing an effective sales action plan
  • Mapping customers and projects for complex sales and tenders
  • Sharing knowledge with European and global sales teams
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven track record in a technical sales role
  • Over 10 years of sales (or equivalent) experience
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Strong communication, listening, strategic thinking, enthusiasm, tenacity, curiosity, and teamwork skills
