Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking an experienced Registered Care Manager to join us as a Regional Relief Registered Care Manager, providing leadership and operational support to branches across Hertfordshire. This role centers on stepping into branches needing leadership during growth, change, or temporary gaps, ensuring continuity for customers and staff while upholding high standards of care.

• Collaborate with Operations, People, Quality, Finance and Marketing teams.
• Monitor performance, manage budgets, identify efficiency opportunities.
• Support Area Care Manager and fellow leaders to embed excellence region-wide.

We're looking for an experienced Registered Care Manager to join us as a Regional Relief Registered Care Manager, providing leadership and operational support to branches across Hertfordshire. This isn't a traditional multi-site management role. Instead, you'll step into branches that need experienced leadership during periods of growth, change or temporary management gaps, ensuring continuity for customers and colleagues while maintaining our high standards of care.

What you’ll do

• Provide confident leadership to branches requiring short-term management support. Leading the branch with warmth and clarity, creating a high-performing, values-driven team where everyone feels supported and able to thrive.
• Ensure every customer receives outstanding care, from regular visits to respite and Live-in services – championing quality, safety, and consistency.
• Maintain full regulatory compliance across your services, driving a “right first time” culture and responding swiftly to improvements when needed.
• Build strong relationships across your community, including healthcare professionals, local authorities, GPs and partners, to grow your customer base and strengthen Helping Hands’ reputation.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams across Operations, People, Quality, Finance and Marketing to deliver great outcomes for customers and our teams.
• Monitor performance, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and service delivery.
• Support your Area Care Manager and fellow leaders by sharing best practice and helping embed a culture of excellence across your region.

• A flexible, adaptable mindset and a drive to deliver meaningful results.

Desirable:

• Experience in the care sector or a related field.
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Knowledge of CQC or CIW regulatory standards.
• Previous management experience within care
