A leading global R&D company is seeking an EMEA Biotech Regional Regulatory Leader to support the introduction of innovative biotech products and ensure regulatory compliance in Europe. Corteva Agriscience has an exciting new position for an EMEA Biotech Regional Regulatory Leader located in Europe, preferably in Brussels, Belgium but open to other EU locations where Corteva Agriscience has an office.

This position is critical in helping farmers around the world access innovative biotech traits
In this strategic individual contributor capacity, the role is instrumental in shaping and advancing regulatory strategies across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Supports introduction of innovative biotech products in Corteva Agriscience’s Seed Platform through securing timely and successful regulatory approvals for the import of genetically modified crops in Europe
Coordinates and supports regulatory dossier development in a dynamic and multinational environment, and in close collaboration with the Regional Regulatory Associate
Provides expertise in the interpretation of regulatory requirements for genetically modified and gene-edited products through monitoring and interpreting of scientific, technical and political developments in plant biotechnology.
Monitors evolving policy frameworks to provide support on EU biotech issues, including on plant breeding innovations and contributes to developing Corteva positions on regulatory issues
Supports regulatory compliance, including field trials in Europe
Project management and obtaining regulatory approvals within project milestones
Forms effective partnerships with EU biotech team and global regulatory affairs and regulatory science teams in support of an overall regulatory strategy
Represents the company in national and/or EU-level trade associations
While this is an individual contributor role without direct reports, it remains a key strategic position with significant impact and visibility.

Qualifications
Master or PhD degree in Agricultural Sciences, plant biotechnology or other related Life Sciences discipline.
Valued work experience with regulated products is a strong plus, through prior position in industry, academia, or government institution
Industry experience in a R&D focused company is a plus
Fluent in written and spoken English is a must, knowledge of other European languages an asset
Excellent writing & presentation skills, ability to formulate and articulate clear strategies and messages about complex processes and issues
Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work in a team-oriented way
Diligent and committed, attention to detail. Demonstrating initiative and persistence. Capable of issue resolution. Result-oriented. Able to meet deadlines.
Curious, with a genuine interest in industry issues and policy challenges, such as sustainability, modern agriculture, new plant breeding techniques
Open-minded and able to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment
