Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking a Project Leader (PO4) for a 12-month fixed term contract based at Merrion House, Leeds. You will lead transformational projects within the Children and Families service, focusing on innovative commissioning, value for money, and sustainable improvements through collaboration.

The role sits in the White Rose Partnership central team, working with 15 Local Authorities and providers to deliver high-quality outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Possession of a recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM.
• Experience in commissioning and/or project management and frontline work with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to major transformational projects and programmes for Children’s Social Care.
• Deliver service improvements with partners across the region and meet quality standards.
• Manage projects on time and within budget, maintaining high delivery and confidentiality.
• Engage with stakeholders to secure commitment and resources for change.
• Prepare briefings, reports and policy documents for diverse audiences.
• Line manage project and administrative officers as required.
