Job summary

pladis invites applications for a Regional Procurement Buyer – Facilities Management based at our UK hub in Chiswick Park, London. You will lead regional sourcing, develop category strategies, and drive cost-out and continuity across UK and Europe while building SRM with key suppliers.

You will manage end-to-end procurement, negotiate terms, ensure compliance, and collaborate with regional teams to deliver productivity and resilience across the business.

Qualifications

  • Graduate qualification or proven experience in Indirect procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial analytical skills.
  • Supplier/customer relationship management experience or excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Project management and leadership skills with change implementation experience.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to set a multi-year category plan.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities within a team and across the business.
  • Understanding sustainability opportunities in Facilities Management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing for Facilities Management across UK and Europe.
  • Negotiate terms, liaise with legal, and secure maximum business value.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and drive SRM across regional partners.
  • Develop regional category strategies focusing on cost, cash flow and continuity.
  • Collaborate with regional teams (manufacturing, supply chain, R&D) on projects.
  • Present sourcing strategies and recommendations to relevant forums.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues as first point of contact.
  • Implement regional procurement processes and tooling within the team.

Role Title: Regional Procurement Buyer – Facilities Management
Site Introduction

In 2021, pladis proudly opened the doors to our vibrant global hub, the MIU Campus. Located in the heart of Chiswick Park, West London. Just a short 5-minute walk from Gunnersbury Station, our campus is nestled within 33 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, offering a welcoming and inspiring environment for all. Chiswick Park is home to both our UK and Global Corporate teams, bringing together diverse teams across the business.

What will this role achieve?

As a Regional Procurement Buyer, you will lead and manage the procurement of the Facilities Management category for the UK and Europe regions. You will maintain and develop the supplier base, drive strategic relationships, and execute material group strategies. Reporting to the Procurement Head for UK, you will play a critical role in ensuring supply continuity, cost optimisation, and sustainable sourcing.

What will be your key deliverables?
Strategic responsibilities
  • Understand pladis’ business category strategy and communicate it effectively across procurement.
  • Develop strong and positive relationships with key partners to align procurement objectives with business needs.
  • Full responsibility to develop and implement regional category strategies for Facilities Management category, focusing on key strategic deliverables: cost out, cash flow, supply continuity, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Build strong SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) across regional strategic suppliers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with regional teams (e.g., manufacturing sites, supply chain, and R&D partners) to deliver regional projects for productivity and business continuity.
  • Create, develop, and implement key strategic projects, working in coordination with regional counterparts such as R&D, supply chain, and quality teams.
  • Share best practices and benchmarks across regions and the global team.
  • Implementing all regional procurement-driven processes & tools within their team and category.
  • Build cost breakdowns and cost models where relevant.
Operational responsibilities
  • Gather all necessary requirements (specifications & scope of works, service levels, KPIs) from stakeholders.
  • Lead the end-to-end sourcing process for new contracts within the category Finalise contracts with suppliers and ensure compliance to pladis T&Cs
  • Negotiating contract terms, liaising with legal and the supplier to provide maximum value to the business
  • Completing D&B checks to assess suppliers financial status
  • Presenting sourcing strategies and recommendations to relevant forums
  • Reporting on 5 key deliverable areas, including Jaggaer updates for all projects in the category
  • Manage any supplier performance issues, being the first point of contact for business stakeholders within the category

Bring your experience.

  • Graduate qualification or proven experience in Indirect procurement.
  • Negotiation and commercial analytical skills Supplier/Customer relationship management experience or excellent inter-personnel skills with the ability to form strong working relationships
  • Project management and leadership skills, including how to make a strong recommendation
  • The ability to think strategically and set a 3 year category plan.
  • The ability to lead many workstreams and work in a team whilst managing key stakeholders
  • Demonstrate experience of developing, leading, and delivering change implementation within an organisation
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills within the team and across the business.
  • Understanding of sustainability opportunities in Facilities Management category
  • MCIPS or equivalent certification is desirable.
What will the interview process be?
  • Initial Telephone call with Talent Acquisition
  • 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
  • 2nd stage interview – 90 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.

pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process. Some processes may differ, but we will keep you updated!
