Job Title: Regional Poppy Appeal Manager

We're looking for an inspiring and strategic leader to join the Royal British Legion as a Regional Poppy Appeal Manager in London, with initial work in South and East Midlands for the first three months. In this role, you'll lead a team of Poppy Appeal Managers across your region, supporting them to deliver one of the UK's most recognized and respected fundraising campaigns. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the delivery of the Poppy Appeal locally and make a lasting difference to the Armed Forces community.

Join the leading Armed Forces charity and make a difference in the lives of those who have served to keep us safe.

You will be responsible for guiding your team to meet income and contribution targets, ensuring activities are well-planned, resourced, and aligned with our fundraising strategy. With strong people management skills, you'll motivate your team, drive performance, and ensure volunteers and supporters feel valued. You will also be involved in budget planning, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, building relationships with internal teams, local authorities, and community partners.

This role suits someone with experience in community fundraising, volunteer management, or leading high-performing teams. If you're passionate about people, results-driven, and excited to bring communities together in support of a meaningful cause, we want to hear from you.

We offer flexible working arrangements, including a 9-day fortnight, and support work-life balance. The role is based at our London Hub, Haig House, with some remote working options. It requires a full UK driving license and occasional travel to the South and East Midlands during the first three months, which will be considered as London office days.

Employee Benefits include:

  • 28 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, with options to purchase additional leave
  • Generous pension contributions (6% to 14%)
  • Flexible working options depending on role and needs
  • Confidential Employee Assistance Programme
  • Development courses and training
  • Opportunities to volunteer
  • Travel loans, Cycle to Work scheme, and more
