We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Plumber Multi to join our dynamic regional team. This mobile role requires coverage for contracts in Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth & the Isle of Wight, with potential to cover wider areas such as Hampshire, Horsham, Woking, and Windsor.

SUMMARY OF ROLE

We seek a conscientious and enthusiastic Regional Plumber Multi with a can-do attitude and flexibility. The role involves carrying out a variety of domestic and commercial plumbing repairs for local authorities (reactive and void works), education providers in occupied student accommodation, commercial buildings, lecture theatres, offices, and ancient monuments. Tasks include fitting sanitary ware, pipework, servicing PPM and reactive repairs, work on unvented systems, and minor carpentry, tiling, and decorative works.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and rectify faults related to core and other trades repair requests
  • Ensure work quality meets high standards
  • Support trades to deliver professional, safe maintenance and repairs
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies and resolve efficiently
  • Work efficiently and cost-effectively, minimizing non-productive time; follow health & safety rules using risk assessments, method statements, and PPE
  • Work out of hours as required and participate in call-out rota
  • Assist other contracts within Mountjoy group as directed by the Contract Manager

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor with residents and tenants, especially in contentious issues
  • Ability to complete work thoroughly and in one visit
  • Organized approach to meet demands efficiently
  • Practical health and safety awareness
  • Problem-solving skills, learning from experience
  • Self-management, motivation, and effective prioritization

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Competent tradesperson with necessary tools
  • Up-to-date technical, statutory, and legislative knowledge in trades performed
  • Knowledge of building materials and methods

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Trade-specific qualification, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Plumbing
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Building Maintenance and Educational environments
  • Competence in two secondary skills
  • Full current driving license
