Job description

This is a unique opportunity to be part of our GTR Europe team and play an important role in our organization in a moment where we are seeing a strong demand for travel worldwide. In this role, you will build deep partnership across Bacardi at a local, regional, and global level.

You will play a major role in adding value driving the Sales & Operations Planning process for the region, ultimately helping Bacardi to deliver against our BEST10 growth aspirations to support sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

  • Manage key internal and external stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Customers and Finance) to get a collaborative and consensus approach to forecasting and agree on the Best10 process.
  • Continue analyse current business, demand trends, and predict future trends for middle and long horizon (24 months)
  • Collaborate with sales to understand customers’ data and understand their ordering patterns.
  • Lead the Demand process in the GTR region including the volume sign-off with the regional leadership team to ensure plans are established, monitored, and reviewed to guarantee an efficient and timely distribution of products to customers and secure stock availability.
  • Support the Supply Chain Director in the S&OP process and preparation of the global monthly meetings.
  • Build visibility between financial target and volume sales plan and support the financial team in the financial cycle and clearly disclose risks and opportunities to the business through the demand planning process.
  • Ensure cross functional alignment and business ownership at multiple levels.
  • Maintain S&OP tools and report risks and opportunities.

Forecast Accuracy

  • Analyse all data to ensure that sales forecasts are realistic (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, customer data (inventories, depletions, forecasts) and challenge regional commercial teams about inconsistencies.
  • Conduct forecast data submissions in system following the global S&OP and forecasting calendar.
  • Improve forecasting techniques and method to increase forecast accuracy indicators (VVD, BIAS, TISP).

New Products Introduction

  • Cooperate with Marketing, Innovation and Supply Chain teams to ensure an effective innovation process while reducing supply chain complexity, optimizing route to markets, increasing supply reliability/flexibility and harmonizing the portfolio.
  • Be the single point of contact for Bacardi value-added packs being produced/co-packed in/for the region.
  • Follow GTR launch of promotions, value-added packs, Limited Editions and Innovations to ensure a successful landing and full depletion.
  • Maintain the products’ portfolio list including lifecycle information and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
  • Align with supply planning on the right level of replenishment and inventory for new products.
  • Make sure forecast is reflected 4 months minimum before first shipment date.
  • Communicate to GTR sales / customer service on first availability date from our warehouse.

Inventory management / Product lifecycle monitoring

  • Focus on optimizing days inventory and working capital by analysing safety stocks and non-performing stocks.
  • Follow up Slow mover/No mover stocks and take relevant actions to deplete those. Seek for solutions.
  • Identify write-offs risks and root causes and set action plan to reduce/avoid and monitor. Seek for solutions.
  • Ensure any issues / alerts are raised promptly with sales/customers to avoid those.
  • Review and set the right safety stocks policies with supply planning/operation centres’ planning teams.
  • Lead the product portfolio management review for the region to simplify, optimize and improve profitability and align actions with the regional finance and commercial team. Seek for solution and monitor progress.
  • Make sure actions are reflected in the global dashboards and product status updated properly in the system.
  • Coordinating with global/local TRN, legal and commercial teams to ensure compliance in travel retail.

Supply Challenges

  • Manage short/medium term supply constraints (ex. quality, technical…) to deliver product (Finished goods, Global Promotions/Limited Editions and POS) on the agreed basis.
  • Monitor allocation of limited products, communicate on status.
  • Understand route to markets, MOQs and Leadtime’s with plants and customers.
  • Communicate to regional sales team and customer service on out of stocks risks and issues, root causes and resolution timing in promptly manner.
  • Review regularly inventories, risks and opportunities with the regional supply planning team / customer service to maximize availability.

Logistics

  • Work closely with sales, customer service and the logistics teams to develop the most robust, agile and efficient supply network across the region. Identify and monitor actions to manage the regional logistics budget properly.
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase supply chain efficiency (order drop size, adjust frequency, adjust sourcing, review route-to-market) in the region.

  • Minimum 2 years of demand planning experience recommend. High analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of processes within operations (finance, manufacturing, packaging, supply chain, markets and central marketing).

What are the stages of an interview process?

The first step is submitting your application which will be reviewed by our Hiring Team. The timing of the interview process will vary and our focus will be on ensuring that the key stakeholders get to know you and that you get to know us.
