Role Summary and Impact

We are seeking a talented and driven Media Planning Director to join our dynamic OpenDoor Strategy & Planning team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in crafting communications plans that inspire and deliver results for our clients in the ever-evolving entertainment landscape. You will be the voice of the consumer, translating insights into actionable strategies that drive business growth. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive customer journeys, uncovering compelling brand narratives, and building the blueprint for effective media plan development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver media planning strategies and communications plans for clients in the entertainment sector.

• Translate consumer insights into actionable media strategies and customer journeys.

• Collaborate across OpenDoor and client teams to align on goals, audience definitions, and measurement.

• Build narratives and deliverables that articulate opportunities, rationale, and expected outcomes for campaigns.

• Lead with a data- and insights-driven approach, simplifying complex information into clear, compelling written materials.

Qualifications
  • Experienced media professional with advanced understanding of media channels, channel ecosystems and planning best practices.
  • Strong grasp of Purchase Journey thinking and planning across client work; proficient with internal and external tools to understand the consumer, the client’s business, and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the media market landscape (across EU), trends, and ability to build media owner relationships.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior within media, particularly channels relevant to entertainment marketing.
  • Ability to translate data and insights into clear, compelling written narratives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence decisions.
  • Passion for innovation and challenging the status quo with a positive, constructive approach.
  • Deep knowledge of both digital and traditional media channels and how to deploy them across campaigns.
