Location Overview:

The Team:

The Europe and Middle East (EMEA) Payroll Team is responsible for delivering pay services across the region. Reporting to the EMEA Payroll Manager, you will ensure accurate pay service delivery and compliance with tax and legal obligations.

You will collaborate with pay delivery teams, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Shared Services, Global Mobility, and HR Leadership.

This role requires exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to resolve complex tax and pay issues and advise stakeholders. Flexibility, multitasking, and effective time management are essential to meet multiple deadlines. Proactively identifying and mitigating employee and firm-level issues is also critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly pay cycle alongside EMEA Pay consultants and vendors.
  • Manage and process monthly payroll for France entities, ensuring compliance with French legislation.
  • Engage regularly with vendors to update on payroll changes and ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Participate in payroll project deliverables.
  • Provide support and guidance for French pay processes and audit requests.
  • Collaborate on reporting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with Financial Governance to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Address employee and GHR queries.
  • Implement risk controls and process improvements.
  • Liaise with auditors as needed.
  • Identify gaps and improve payroll processes.

Required Skills:

  • European Payroll experience (excluding UK)
  • Strong knowledge of European payroll laws and obligations
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Proficiency with payroll software
  • Ability to work independently and drive efficiencies
  • Effective team player with strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills for diverse audiences
  • High accuracy and attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

  • Banking or large corporation experience
  • Payroll accounting knowledge
  • Regional payroll experience
  • French language skills
