Role

Role: Regional Operations Support and Service Supervisor

Location: Remote (Covering North East England and East Coast of England)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift pattern: Monday- Friday (occasional weekend work will be required)

Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 depending on experience - Plus company vehicle (after completion of successful probationary period)

Grade: M

PLEASE NOTE: This role requires travelling to multiple live operational prison environments within the North East and East Coast of England, and you will be in direct contact with inmates who are currently serving a sentence. You will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process if you are to be successful for this position.

HMPPS provides prisoners with the means to order goods using their own funds. At DHL, our role is to manage the picking, packing and distribution of these orders. No two days on our HMPPS contract are the same! You will play an integral role in the prisoner's lives, working with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation.

We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

Role Purpose
  • Provide operational support across warehouses and service locations by covering staff absences, filling gaps, and delivering training
  • Assist Warehouse Managers with onboarding, staff development, and recruitment.
  • Support the Regional Operations Manager and Head of Operations with canteen-related issues at DHL and HMP sites, while contributing to project delivery and continuous improvement
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and assist in the implementation of operational strategies.
  • Ensuring all relevant DHL operational documents are completed accurately/timely inclusive of change requests.
  • Ensure all delivery queries are reported to Warehouse Manager/Supervisors/Transport Team.
  • Comply with all Prison Service regulations, including security.
