Job summary

VANRATH is assisting a prominent Public Sector Organisation to recruit a Regional Operations Supervisor to oversee school catering services across Loop of Kilrea, Garvagh, Maghera, Magherafelt, Magherafelt, Moneymore, Draperstown. This leadership role involves managing multiple sites, delivering high-quality meals, ensuring health and safety standards, staff development, and effective stakeholder liaison.

You will lead dispersed catering teams, monitor operations, and contribute to service

Qualifications

• Strong people management and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience supervising teams within catering or hospitality.
• Excellent customer service and organisation skills.
• Practical cooking skills to support high standards in school meals.
• Knowledge of health and safety and food safety regulations.
• Ability to handle multiple sites and priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Operations Manager in managing multiple school catering sites, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Lead, motivate, and develop dispersed catering teams across various locations.
• Oversee stock ordering, financial reporting, and banking procedures.
• Deliver training to kitchen staff on food safety, health and safety, and service standards.
• Assist with recruitment, inductions, and staff development initiatives.
• Implement and monitor service improvements and innovation within the school meals sector.
• Manage stakeholder relationships including liaising with school staff, suppliers, and environmental health officers.
