Based in the North UK region with travel.
My client is a high growth, compliance & testing business to include the passive fire compliance sector. With a turnover of £50 million today they aspire to achieve £75 million in revenue within the next two years by acquisition and organic growth. They are truly in an exciting growth phase and will undoubtedly become the biggest passive fire compliance business in the UK & Ireland within that time!
The role of Regional Operations Manager - Passive Fire Compliance:
- As a result of their ambitions and recent acquisitions made, they have created a brand-new position for a Regional Operations Manager for the UK to drive forward the UK passive fire compliance business unit to include fire door installs/fire door remedial works, fire stopping and fire damper services in the UK.
- As the Regional Operations Manager, you will have full operational and commercial responsibility for growing the existing passive fire compliance and fire monitoring business unit for both private and public sector clients, drive new sales and profit for the UK passive fire compliance vertical market segment.
- Reporting into the UK Operational Managing Director, the Regional Operations Manager will have total autonomy and P&L responsibility for sales and an operations team delivering passive fire compliance testing and associated fire compliance services to local government, social housing and local authorities across the UK with the objective to significantly increase operating profit, revenue and market share in both business public and private sectors.
- You will conduct weekly team performance review meetings with the regions management team whereby financial data, sales activity and operations performance is analysed and opportunities for improvement/growth identified. You will also work with the UK Fire Compliance Services Sales Manager to provide technical support and general commercial guidance to the Sales Manager and attend high level sales meetings at customer site to win large contracts for works of high complexity/value.
The requirements for the Regional Operations Manager - Passive Fire Compliance:
- The incoming Regional Operations Manager will be highly commercially astute, having already held P&L responsibility for growing a fire compliance business; a proven track record of growing a company from at least £2million to c£8-10 million + and will be able to present month end financial data and regional performance in comparison to financial targets for revenue and EBITDA to the Board & investors on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- The ideal candidate will have previously been or is currently a Regional Director, Divisional Director, General Manager or Business Unit Manager or equivalent for a competitive Passive Fire Compliance Service provider, facilities management company etc.
- You must have already held full P&L responsibility and leadership of a Passive Fire Compliance business for a minimum of 5 years with a demonstrable record of revenue and operating profit growth over a sustained period. My client is looking for an expert on Passive Fire Compliance Testing/Services, someone who has run and scaled a high growth business unit for an outsourced FM delivery services company with a sound understanding of the passive fire compliance market.
- There is significant opportunity to grow and expand these existing services out, so someone who can demonstrate clear success in operational efficiencies, adding new revenue streams/contracts to create solid business growth strategies to achieve and exceed financial targets would be very favourable. Full clean driving licence, willingness to travel to win new business across the UK as and when required is essential.
