Job Description

Aka Recruitment is excited to be working with a loyal client to offer this rare Regional Operations position. This role is within a family-run business, covering the South region of their company. The basic salary starts from £45k, with negotiations possible depending on experience, and involves a 45-hour workweek.

There is a generous bonus structure and additional company incentives.

Job Duties Include:
  1. Lead, mentor, and develop Branch Operations Managers and regional warehouse support teams to drive performance across all sites.
  2. Translate strategic objectives into clear regional plans and ensure delivery against operational KPIs, e.g., on-time in full.
  3. Monitor and enhance warehouse and logistics operations across the region, ensuring consistency and adherence to service-level agreements.
  4. Oversee resource planning and staffing strategies to meet fluctuating demand across branches.
  5. Identify and implement regional process improvements and efficiency gains.
  6. Analyse data and operational trends to proactively manage risk and address service or logistical issues.
  7. Ensure compliance with all company procedures, including returns, warranties, and vehicle maintenance.
  8. Conduct regular site audits and reviews to maintain standards, health and safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  9. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and embed a high-performing, engaged, and proactive team environment.
  10. Oversee technology implementation in the branches' transport and warehouse systems.
Requirements:
  • Experience leading, developing, and coaching operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyse data and implement solutions to meet business needs.
  • Experience working in a customer service-focused environment.
  • Experience representing the company and team to internal and external customers.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Full clean driving license.
