SDL Car Parts is looking for Regional Operations Manager to come and join our team.

We're looking for a highly motivated candidate to join the team! You will be responsible for covering an SDL region.

Each working week consists of 45 hours, made up of 5 x 8.5-hour days Monday to Friday. hours of 08:30am and 17:30pm which includes an additional 5 hours on every alternate Saturday 8:00-13:00pm in accordance with the rota. You are entitled to a meal break of 30 minutes.

The Regional Operations Manager is accountable for the operational performance, efficiency, and growth of multiple branches within a defined region. This role

acts as the strategic link between company-wide objectives and branch-level execution.

You will lead regional teams to deliver exceptional customer service, drive operational consistency, and ensure full alignment with corporate goals.

Your leadership will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring operational excellence across the region.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Branch Operations Managers and regional warehouse support teams to drive performance across all sites.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear regional plans and ensure delivery against operational KPI’s e.g. On time in full.
  • Monitor and enhance warehouse and logistics operations across the region, ensuring consistency and adherence to service-level agreements.
  • Oversee resource planning and staffing strategies to meet fluctuating demand across branches.
  • Identify and implement regional process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Analyse data and operational trends to proactively manage risk and address service or logistical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures including returns, warranties, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct regular site audits and reviews to maintain standards, health and safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and embed a high performing, engaged, proactive vs reactive culture across all the teams.
  • Oversight of tech implementation in the branches transport/warehouse systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SLT to contribute to overall operation strategy and planning.
  • Cover as required in the absence of the BOM’s to minimise operational service disruption in the region.
  • Lead change management initiatives across the region and ensure end to end successful rollouts.
  • Serve as the escalation point for significant operational issues and represent the region in executive meetings.
  • Support business development efforts by aligning operations with customer growth opportunities.
  • Foster a “as one” cross branch collaboration to share best practices and innovations.

Desirable

  • Leadership and management qualification (CMI/ILM or similar).
  • CMI Level 5 diploma in Operations management.
  • Valid certifications in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management such ILM.
