We are looking for a UK Regional Management Lead who will manage all UK Regional Managers, and be responsible for operational and financial performance in this market.

You will be accountable for delivering a world-class service to our clients at all times, and will be accountable for KPIs such as GM, CPO, On-Time rate, E2E, Very Late and Undelivered and Success Rate.

You will play a vital role in balancing our growth opportunities and profitability targets. You will work closely with Revenue and Tech functions, and be a key figure in influencing Stuart’s continued success. You will be reporting directly to the Head of City Management.

What will I be doing?

  • People Management
  • Managing a team of 3-5 Regional Managers
  • You will continually assess resourcing distribution across your market, reviewing volumes across your team
  • You will keep your team engaged and motivated through clear career development plans, coaching and mentoring
  • You will hold your team accountable for performance in their regions, holding performance conversations where appropriate
  • Operational Management
  • You will be responsible for performance in your market, including keeping RMs accountable for actions to improve performance and profitability
  • You will maximise operational and financial performance, focusing on client needs and reducing client churn. You will work closely with the Revenue function to understand client requirements, supporting on client meetings through analyses and reporting if necessary
  • You will own and drive initiatives that will focus on reducing costs in your market, whilst optimising your performance metrics
  • You will analyse your RMs performance, using data to identify opportunities to improve our Quality of Service, including ensuring that we meeting our budget and cost objectives
  • Growth
  • You will highlight areas of opportunity for the Revenue Team through insights received from your RMs and couriers in your market
  • You will develop new processes and optimise existing ones that will contribute to higher margins
  • You will be the key POC for the Revenue team when new clients are launching in your market, and you will facilitate and coordinate playbooks for successful launches (in collaboration with Ops Strategy)
  • Continuous Improvement
  • You will foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, through constant evaluation and review of our operational processes
  • You will be responsible for co-creating, implementing and overseeing execution of Operational SOPs and Operations Playbook Standards
  • You will work with the Tech team and Operational Strategy to design, create and implement new tools and features



What do we need from you?

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations
  • Experience in managing a team, including handling performance management and development conversations. You have a strong desire to help your team grow!
  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable making data-driven decisions whilst balancing operational needs in the market, ability to perform own in depth analysis identifying root causes and proposing solutions
  • Excellent organisational skills, including project management
  • Clear and strong communicator, with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business
  • Strong curiosity: you are thoughtful, innovative and not afraid to question the status quo. You encourage your team to experiment and test new ideas
  • Tech savvy: comfortable using different tech tools and proposing new solutions and improvements to Stuart's tech stack
