Job summary

Kemnal Academies Trust is seeking an Interim Regional Operations Manager to stabilise day-to-day operations across multiple academies. The role focuses on HR administration, payroll support, GDPR compliance, and governance within a shared-service framework.

It requires an ability to mentor front-office teams and maintain strong external/stakeholder relationships. The role reports to the Senior Regional Business Manager and involves travel between academies with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience; experience in schools/academies is essential.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities in a multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Support safer recruitment, onboarding/offboarding and SCR maintenance.
• Oversee payroll queries in coordination with central teams.
• Assist with budget monitoring and procurement within thresholds.
• Coordinate estates, facilities and health & safety checks.
• Oversee staff training allocations and performance reviews (PDRs).
