Job Description:

Regional Membership Administrator

Hybrid

Full time, Permanent

Our mission

The overarching purpose of the Chartered Insurance Institute (‘the Institute’) is to educate and support our members to deliver services to the highest professional standards and to advocate for the public good. By doing this the Institute builds and maintains public trust in the insurance, financial planning, and mortgage advice professions.

Our vision

Our vision is that CII and PFS professionals build a world which delivers ever greater financial resilience for individuals and societies more broadly.

Your role

As the Regional Membership Administrator at the CII, you will assist the regional membership team in driving volunteer support, membership growth, and stakeholder engagement across the UK, Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. You will play a crucial role in expanding the CII’s reach, enhancing member satisfaction, and fostering a strong sense of community among professionals in the insurance and financial planning sectors.

You will coordinate operational activities such as local institute annual returns, regalia orders, and CPD accreditation. Additionally, you will manage administration and reporting for annual assessments and development plans and handle key operational meetings. Your responsibilities also include overseeing the local institute annual dinner process, managing volunteer communications, and providing admin assistance at various events.

This home-based role requires occasional travel to the CII’s head office in London and across the UK for larger local institute events. You will be part of a dynamic team, guiding over 800 volunteers and ensuring the local membership proposition remains engaging and relevant.

You

  • You are experienced in providing administrative support and managing data with precision.
  • You are skilled in capturing minutes and notes during key meetings and events.
  • You are comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a regional team to achieve objectives.
  • You are proficient in written communication, confident in writing and editing reports and documents.
  • You are a volunteer champion, knowledgeable about volunteer engagement and the insurance and financial services professions.
  • You are capable of juggling multiple tasks, seeking help when needed, and managing your time flexibly.

In addition to a market-benchmarked base salary, here are some of the benefits you can expect from CII as a valued colleague:

  • 10% non-contributory pension
  • 30 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Genuinely flexible, hybrid working
  • Life assurance
  • Modern office space located in 20 Fenchurch Street (Walkie-Talkie) with free Sky Garden access and discounts
