As a Regional Medical Advisor for metabolic diseases covering the East Midlands, you will lead the development and delivery of local and regional medical advisory services, supporting business goals. You’ll serve as a trusted medical expert to healthcare professionals, ensuring they understand the science and clinical value of our treatments. Your role involves driving medical education, supporting strategic initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment across teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and share medical insights and competitor intelligence to inform Medical Affairs strategy and projects, both locally and internationally.
  • Support clinical research activities, including trial site identification, Investigator Sponsored Studies, and local phase IV studies from setup to publication.
  • Build trusted relationships with HCPs and institutions, deliver high-quality medical education, facilitate advisory boards, and respond to medical inquiries.
  • Collaborate with healthcare systems and associations to co-create solutions that improve patient outcomes and optimize clinical care pathways.
  • Train colleagues, lead scientific events, support promotional meetings, and contribute to medico-marketing strategies and expert speaker engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Medical, Ph.D., or Pharmacy qualification; post-graduate medical qualifications are a plus.
  • Residing within East Midlands (Leicester, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Stoke, Nottingham).
  • Strong clinical and/or scientific expertise, ideally with experience in the pharmaceutical industry and metabolic therapy areas.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex science.
  • ABPI Medical Representative Examination completed or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Solid understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice and promotional regulations.
  • Knowledge of UK healthcare systems, GCP, and drug development processes.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and confident managing complexity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Full, clean driving license.
About The Department:

You will be an active member of the UK Medical Affairs team, contributing to the execution of our medical strategy.
