The role will cover three services in Aberdeen and three services across the area between Invergordon and Dornoch. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished senior care leader to shape regional performance, support and develop service managers, and ensure consistently high standards of care, regulatory compliance and business performance.

The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of operational leadership, clinical governance knowledge, people management and commercial awareness, ensuring services deliver safe, compassionate and person‑centred care while remaining financially sustainable.

The Role

As Regional Manager, you will provide strategic direction, operational oversight and leadership across six services. Working closely with service managers and senior colleagues, you will ensure that services meet regulatory requirements, achieve agreed clinical and business objectives, and maintain a strong focus on quality, continuous improvement and positive outcomes for residents.

You will also build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promote best practice and drive service excellence across both geographical areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality and clinical governance: Establish, implement and monitor robust systems and procedures to maintain high standards of care and drive continuous improvement.
  • Regulatory compliance: Ensure all services meet relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, supporting managers with audits, inspections, action plans and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Leadership and people development: Recruit, lead, motivate and develop high‑performing teams, ensuring effective performance management, succession planning and appropriate staff training.
  • Operational management: Develop and implement regional strategies and business plans to achieve organisational objectives, improve service delivery and share best practice.
  • Financial performance: Monitor budgets, identify and address financial variances, maximise income and maintain strong occupancy levels to support the long‑term viability of each service.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Develop effective partnerships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, regulators and other relevant organisations.
  • Performance improvement: Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that deliver sustainable results.
  • Strategic projects: Contribute to wider organisational programmes and initiatives, supporting the achievement of business objectives across the region.
About You

You will be an experienced senior leader within the health and social care sector, with a proven ability to oversee multiple services, develop strong management teams and deliver measurable improvements in care quality and operational performance.

You will demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation, regulatory frameworks and quality assurance standards.
  • Experience of leading care services through inspections, audits and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Proven leadership and people‑management skills, including coaching and developing service managers.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience of budget management, financial performance and occupancy optimisation.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management abilities.
  • A strategic and analytical approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.
  • A commitment to delivering safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care.

The flexibility to travel regularly between services in Aberdeen and the Invergordon–Dornoch area, with occasional evening, weekend and overnight commitments as required.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established care organisation in a senior leadership position where you can influence service quality, develop future leaders and make a meaningful difference across six services in Scotland.

You will play a key role in shaping regional performance, strengthening operational standards and supporting teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for residents while ensuring services remain compliant, effective and financially sustainable.
