Learning and Development Specialist

Your new company
Hays is working with a growing organisation, specialising in Supported Living and Care Services. Committed to delivering outstanding care and support, they are focused on innovation and excellence, driving quality improvements across the sector.

Our client is seeking a Regional Learning & Development Specialist on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be passionate, outcomes-driven, and have a strong background in Learning & Development. You will be responsible for Learning and Development throughout the South East Region, including Colchester, Southend, and Chelmsford.

Your new role

  • Lead the coordination and rollout of regional learning programmes, from commissioning to delivery.
  • Design and deliver engaging, practical training aligned with operational needs.
  • Oversee training information systems, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
  • Maintain certifications, licences, and records to support operational resilience.
  • Conduct competency assessments and audits to meet regulatory standards.
  • Analyse trends in attendance, scheduling, and training risks, co-developing solutions with leadership teams.
  • Drive service improvements through capability-building and targeted interventions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven L&D leadership experience in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
  • Expertise in adult social care regulations, compliance, and best practices.
  • Strong ability to interpret data trends, provide insights, and recommend actions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Health & Social Care Diploma Level 3 or above
  • A1 Assessors Award
  • Relevant mandatory training qualifications
  • LPI/CIPD Accreditation
