What's the role?
Our Regional Key Account Manager’s are the face of Hilti, being present on site with customers, understanding, learning and conducting meaningful and constructive interactions everyday where it matters most.

Our Regional Key Account Manager's use a consultative approach based on value selling and also direct sales techniques, possessing the confidence to demonstrate why we are a partner of choice.

You will be encouraged to implement your creativity and knowledge to bring forward solutions that really work for our clients through engaging, building and maintaining the trust and reliability that the Hilti brand is known for.

As a Regional Key Account Manager you will become a trusted advisor and conduct direct sales into the construction industry, you will understand and be able to offer the full suite of Hilti products and demonstrate to the industry the added value of continuous engagement, and by understanding need and pain points you will be able to work with our clients to constructively manage objections through communication and demonstrations.
What does the role involve?
Ours is a model of professional consultative selling, and it’s a hands-on job. You will be rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate some of the most pioneering products and solutions in the industry, along with comprehensive services and after-care that comes with the Hilti name.

As a Regional Key Account Manager no two days will be the same however you can typically expect daily duties relating to the following expectations;

  • Sales and Business Development : Developing executive relationships in partnership with Sales Directors and Strategic Business Developers. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and achieving sales targets - You will develop sales opportunities for both existing product range, whilst promoting digital adoption and industry innovation - To stay close to the action you would be required to monitor industry developments.
  • Customer Relationship Management : Building and maintaining strong relationships with our large and complex clients within Building Constructions, Civils, and Mechanical & Electrical trades. You will be understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions through possible engineered solutions. Nurturing key accounts ensuring that the full suite of Hilti’s services and products are presented.
  • Technical Expertise : Offering in-depth knowledge of Hilti products and services, advising on their application, and ensuring optimal use in projects.
  • Data Collection and Management - Be responsible for the operational, organisational and strategic management of your sales area, fully utilizing the top-in-class CRM system, Salesforce
  • Time Management - You’ll be managing your own time – your vehicle is your office and you’ll be responsible for setting your own diary to ensure you’re visiting your customers when they need you, so you need to be a self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously.
  • You’ll be part of a supportive, field-based regional team who are only a phone call away, but you’ll be working by yourself on the whole, so you need to be comfortable with building relationships remotely and motivating yourself.
What you need is:
  • Market and industry knowledge in Building Constructions, Civils, and Mechanical & Electrical trades.
  • Sales Experience - Demonstrable success in B2B sales in Construction.
  • Solution-oriented approach – you have the ability to uncover customers’ pain points and needs in order to provide our best-suited solutions
  • You share our values – commitment, teamwork, courage and integrity
  • Resilience and adaptability – you will be comfortable to meet all levels of customer from a site operator to managing director
  • Drive – a motivated approach to achieving success and overcoming challenges
  • Curiosity – you have a passion to learn, develop and grow
  • Organizational skills – you are excellent at managing your time and priorities, and can easily work autonomously
  • A full, clean, manual UK driving license to visit our customers on site 5 days a week, Monday to Friday – Essential
