Job summary

Control Risks seeks an experienced analyst to provide intelligence support to regional security leadership. You will monitor events globally, identify threats, and produce actionable insights for client operations.

You will conduct strategic and tactical analyses to support investigations and operations, drawing on data and visualization tools to inform business decisions. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with a graduate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in threat intelligence, risk analysis or related field.
• Strong ability to evaluate large volumes of information and summarize clearly.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide intelligence support to Regional Security Directors and ROCs.
• Monitor events to identify threats, filter false positives, and present threats clearly.
• Aggregate data and produce reports on status and results.
• Conduct strategic, tactical and quantitative analysis to support investigations.
• Forecast geopolitical and security issues and monitor country threat ratings.

Job description

Role tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide intelligence-related support to Regional Security Directors and Regional Operations Centres
• Monitor global, regional and local events to identify threats, remove false positives and present potential threats in a meaningful and comprehensive way
• Aggregate data and produce reports to represent status and results
• Conduct strategic, tactical and quantitative analysis in support of security investigations and operations
• Conduct incisive analysis and forecasting on geopolitical and security issues, monitor country threat ratings and draw from extensive database of incidents and couple those with visualization and analytics tools to help the Client make informed business decisions and plan operations in confidence
• Partner and effectively communicate with team members and other departments to produce insights, develop analytics-driven solutions, and support intelligence gathering and risk analysis
• Leverage the full range of services provided by Control Risks’ risk monitoring platform and access relevant country analysts (and other Subject Matter Experts) when required
• Develop and issue intelligence communications regarding alerts that have the potential to impact staff or operations
• Assist in the building and deployment of tools and processes in support of threat analysis
• Provide contextual support to disaster and crisis management coordination
• Identify and improve inefficiencies and remediate process gaps

Requirements:

• Graduate degree preferred
• Two to five years of relevant experience in threat intelligence, risk analysis or related field.
• Knowledge and understanding of key security, political, regulatory, operational, integrity and social risk issues across Europe, Middle East and Africa and Latin America.
• Excellent English- and Spanish-language oral and written communication and presentation skills. Other relevant languages will be an asset
• Capable of handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines while interacting with colleagues and clients in sometimes challenging situations
• Ability to find, evaluate and succinctly summarize and critically assess large volumes of information, filtering out non-relevant details
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills
