A leading engineering solutions provider based in Cookstown is seeking a Regional Installation Supervisor. The successful candidate will support the installation phase of global projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and supervising subcontractor performance. You must possess a mechanical qualification or significant relevant supervisory experience, with at least 2 years as an Installation Site Engineer. This role offers an opportunity to empower customers in transforming waste into valuable resources.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Installation Site Engineer.

About The Role

Leadership

· Develop and agree SMART goals as requested

· Provide objective feedback to Global Installation Managers in relation to regular performance reviews

· Promote and assist in developing culture of safety as the primary goal

General

· Assist in all pre-start visits on regional sites

o Report site specific H&S issues - rectify with relevant stakeholders

o Report customer progress issues which could result in lost time during installation

o Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources

· Schedule adherence

o Notify Regional Installation Manager if:

o scheduled man/crane days are in jeopardy

o scheduled Subcontractor days Mechanical are in jeopardy

o Ensure Diary / tracker completion

· Ensure completion of NCR's for assigned installations - Same day

o Assist with Root Cause Corrective Action investigations for any quality event on site

· Compile information on products regarding product development, and feedback to Installation Manager as requested.

· Ensure mechanical completion checklists are completed prior to commissioning hand over on all regional projects

· Ensure, with Project Managers all snags are captured and followed up during project installation

· Ensure compliance with CDE continuous improvement culture 'Do It Right'

· Support Installation Manager on maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles, tools, equipment & assets

· Ensure availability of Site Files through Installation Manager, and subsequently adherence to site files and safety documentation at all times by all personnel under your control.

· Supervise subcontractor performance and efficiency on site, reporting issues to Installation Manager for further action.

· Be directly responsible for subcontractor site safety performance and report any issues immediately to the Installation Manager.

· Support and mentor subcon teams on Zero lost time injuries

· Drive, identify and report all near misses, incidents and safety events on site. Carry out initial investigations for handover to Installation Manager.

· Review and mentor Site Engineers on CDE H&S culture and policy ensuring compliance at all times on site.

· Ensure all lifting tackle and electrical item inspections are within validity period. Raise with Installation Manager once within 3 months of due date.

· Undertake physical installation of plant and/or onsite Technical Advisor responsibilities as required by regional demand.

· Identify future resource requirements based on business planning forecasts and support regional recruitment of installation resources as required.

· Ensure compliance with CDE H&S policy and culture 'Do It Safe'

Adhere to CDE’s HR and H&S policies

Any other ad hoc duties that may be required.

Project Delivery Support:

Regional Installation Supervisor to support with direct communications where required.

Communicate all project related enquiries back to the Installation Manager within 1 working day of the customer request. (The Regional Installation Supervisor/TA does not agree, commit or approve any variation outside the contract scope of supply. Any such variation must be requested via the Installation Manager or Project Manager.)

Attend Internal Kick Off (remotely as required).

Attend project reviews if Technical Advisor or nominated Site Supervisor (remotely as required)

Issue regular project updates to Installation Manager/ProMan.

Required Criteria

  • • Mechanical qualification or significant relevant supervisory experience in lieu of formal qualifications
  • • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Installation Site Engineer
  • • Experience of, and having been formally assessed as competent, supervising several projects in a Technical Advisor role
  • • Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control large engineering projects
  • • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • • Good interpersonal skills
  • • The ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally, and through presentations
  • • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • • Ability to impart technical information in an easily understandable way, to incumbents of lesser technical ability.
  • • Ability to liaise with effectively on site as the customer-facing representative of CDE
  • • Prudent decision-making when appropriate
