Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Regional HR Manager to join our BT contract supporting our sites in the North of the UK and Scotland. The successful candidate will partner with operational and HR Leadership teamsto deliver a people plan, drive engagement, lead change, and embed our values. They’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior managers and a mentor to the HR team.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. Frequent travel is required with a base site located in Haydock/Warrington, ideally.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £46,000.00 per annum plus a company car, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Provide HR guidance and support to our sites in the Northwest region on a range of people-related matters, from first line support to TUPE, redundancy and consultation processes
  • Proactively develop the capability of direct reports through formal training, coaching and guidance on all HR-related activities
  • Adopt a GXO Supply Chain culture on the sites whilst leading change projects within region or as designated by line manager
  • Conduct regular and in-depth site HR reviews, identifying and driving any areas of improvement
  • Assist the sites in the development of our managerial colleagues in terms of their own understanding and ability to support their operations in ER cases
  • Facilitating harmonious employee relations with the site teams and any respective Trade Union representatives to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Demonstratable experience in a similar environment (Logistics) role with multi-site experience preferred
  • Bring a passionate, fast-paced approach with strong influencing skills to drive results and make things happen
  • Must have extensive previous TUPE experience, both incoming and outgoing
  • Strong experience of HR policy and practice, particularly around disciplinary, grievance, redundancies and TUPE situations
  • Solid employment law knowledge and CIPD qualified – essential
  • Practiced in dealing with trade unions and associated collective agreements
