Job summary

GAP Group Limited, the UK’s leading equipment hire provider, is seeking a Regional HGV Driver to transport plant and equipment across the region from a home depot, with travel to cover sickness and holidays. You will train existing HGV drivers on safe loading and unloading; training will be provided by RoSPA and you will receive an NPORS qualification.

A Class 2 licence with Driver CPC (35 hours) and a valid Tachograph card are required, plus an understanding of Health & Safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in HGV driving loading, delivering and collecting heavy plant equipment.
• A Class 2 licence with Driver CPC and a valid Digital Tachograph card is required.
• Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and ability to follow them in the workplace.
• Excellent customer service and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Transport plant and equipment across the regional area from a home depot.
• Cover sickness and holidays, travelling as needed within the region.
• Train existing HGV drivers on safe loading and unloading; NPORS training provided.
