Job summary

We Are Footprint are seeking a hands-on Health & Safety Manager to support multiple sites across Lancashire and the North West. You will work with operational teams to uphold high health & safety standards on installation projects, customer properties, offices and showrooms.

Key duties include site inspections, risk assessments, audits, investigations and delivering toolbox talks and training. You’ll ensure CDM 2015 compliance and promote a positive safety culture across the business.

Qualifications

• Essential NEBOSH General Certificate (construction knowledge a plus).
• SMSTS and CSCS cards are required; travelling across sites is expected.
• Strong communication skills and ability to challenge unsafe practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments across multiple locations.
• Provide practical health & safety advice to site teams, managers, employees and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with current legislation, including CDM 2015.
• Support the safe delivery of refurbishment, installation and home improvement works.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, putting corrective actions in place.
• Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and training.
• Monitor and follow up health & safety actions through to completion.
• Support contractor PQQs, competence checks and documentation.
• Keep up to date with legislation and industry best practice.
