A leading global bank is seeking a Regional Leader for Data Centres in Europe, aiming to continuously improve operations and ensure the highest standards of service. The role involves managing critical infrastructure, providing innovation in processes, and fostering relationships with various stakeholders to uphold service quality. Suitable candidates will have extensive experience in Data Centre management, operational efficiency, and leadership.
Technology teams in the UK work closely with our global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world to bank quickly, simply, and securely. They also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres, and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank. Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps Engineers, IT Architects, Front and Back End Developers, Infrastructure specialists, Cyber experts, as well as Project and Programme managers.
This role is required to provide Regional Leadership of all Data Centres (both colocation & in-house) and Equipment Rooms across the Europe region (excluding UK) as well as supporting the global Data Centre function with driving continuous improvement in Data Centre processes and controls to maintain the integrity of Data Centre services. It includes accountability for the continuous operation, evolution of the infrastructure, and floor management practices. The role involves removing obstacles that hinder the Data Centre teams' progress, supporting the Data Centre Product Owner in maintaining the Product Backlog, managing conflict, and embedding agile principles. Strong interface and relationship management with local Data Centre teams, Corporate Services, wider infrastructure, Physical Security, and third-party colocation vendors are required.
The focus is on operating and maintaining the uptime of critical environments on a 24/7/365 basis, ensuring minimal disruption due to infrastructure failure. The role provides leadership, technical support, and motivation across the Wider Europe region and is responsible for adopting the highest standards and best practices throughout the facilities.
