Job summary

Historic England is seeking a Grants Manager (Regional Grants) to centrally administer and deliver our Places and People & Research grant schemes, while guiding regional teams across multiple locations. You will manage strategic grant programs, including DCMS-funded HARCF and PWRF, and contribute to the Historic England Strategic Plan 2026-31.

The role offers hybrid working and a generous benefits package, with development opportunities and flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in the historic environment, heritage or a heritage related field.
• Experience and a proven track record of grant and/or other major financial management.
• Experience of line management and/or effective management skills exercised in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience in prioritising and assessing grant applications and designs especially in terms of value for money and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Central administration and delivery of the Places and People & Research grant schemes.
• Advising regional teams, and managing HARCF and Places of Worship Renewal Fund (PWRF).
• Support central and regional teams delivering HARCF and PWRF.
