Job description

Camphill Village Trust is a social care provider and charity rooted in nature and community, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health support needs to live healthier, more active and independent lives.

For over 70 years we have pioneered a different kind of care - shaped by place, purpose, and the natural world. We believe care should do more than meet needs, it should create opportunity, belonging, and purpose. By rooting our support in meaningful work, relationships, and the natural environment, we help people to build skills, confidence, and independence.

The Regional Fundraising Manager (National Programme Development) will lead the creation, development and delivery of Camphill Village Trust's community fundraising programme. You will establish community fundraising as a sustainable and growing income stream across the trust by creating a framework that can be scaled across Camphill Village Trust nationally. This role combines strategic planning, relationship building, and programme development but also encompasses hands‑on delivery across our northern communities. You will play a key role in raising awareness of Camphill Village Trust, strengthening community connections and creating opportunities for supporters to help more people with learning disabilities and autism live extraordinary lives.

Role details

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days per week based within Camphill Village Trust communities. We are looking for someone who enjoys being out in the community. This is not a desk‑based fundraising role. You will spend significant time building relationships, identifying opportunities, meeting supporters and representing Camphill Village Trust across the region. The successful candidate should live within reasonable commuting distance of our three communities in the north‑east (based in North Yorkshire and Middlesbrough). Regular travel across the region and occasional travel to other Trust communities will be required, along with some overnight stays, evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver a community fundraising strategy that lays the foundations for long-term national growth.
  • Develop and manage the community fundraising budget and forecasting processes.
  • Design and launch engaging fundraising products including DIY fundraising, challenge events, in-house events, schools, community groups and local organisations.
  • Create fundraising resources, toolkits and supporter materials that make it easy for people to get involved.
  • Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance measures to track success and inform future growth.
  • Build strong relationships with supporters, volunteers, schools, community groups and local businesses.
  • Identify regional corporate fundraising opportunities and partnerships and work with the Philanthropy Manager to develop these relationships.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Communications colleagues to raise awareness of fundraising opportunities and campaigns.
  • Act as a key link between fundraising and operational teams across Camphill Village Trust.
  • Spend time within communities, building relationships with people we support, staff and families.
  • Identify compelling fundraising stories and case studies.
  • Support the involvement of people we support in fundraising activities where appropriate.
  • Support fundraising volunteers and ambassadors.
  • Line manage and develop the Regional Fundraising team - Initially 1 x Regional Fundraising Officer (Central/South) with a view to future expansion.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Supporter Care, Individual Giving, Philanthropy, Legacy and In-Memory fundraising.
  • Ensure fundraising activity is delivered in line with relevant regulations, policies and best practice.
Requirements
  • At least three years' experience in community fundraising, supporter engagement or a related fundraising role.
  • Experience developing and delivering fundraising campaigns, activities or products.
  • Previous experience of developing fundraising strategy.
  • Ability to build relationships with supporters, volunteers, community groups and local organisations.
  • Experience using CRM systems and fundraising data.
  • Experience recruiting, managing and developing staff.
  • Experience setting KPIs, monitoring performance and reporting outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
