Job Description:

Express Recruitment is partnering with one of the UK’s leading suppliers of critical safety and security equipment. Due to organic growth and new contracts in 2025, they seek a Fire & Security Service Engineer to join their team.

Ideal candidates will have experience with fire alarm servicing; security system experience is a bonus but not essential as training is provided.

The role offers a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, with a starting salary up to £30,000, plus a commission scheme with an average OTE of at least £40,000. Benefits include 32 days holiday (including bank holidays), overtime, pension, company van, PPE, uniform, fuel card, and training opportunities for career progression.

• Attend client sites across the Midlands and UK for installation, repair, servicing, and inspections of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Participate in training courses to learn about other life safety equipment.
• Complete detailed service reports after work.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and third-party suppliers.
• Replace obsolete fire and security systems.
• Order parts and equipment.
• Read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledge of BS5839 Part 1 standards.
• Must pass a CRB check.
• Full UK driving license required.
• FIA qualifications preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting security alarms and access control systems.
• Proficient IT skills for completing online worksheets and reports.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet KPIs.
