Job summary

Grassroots Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to cover Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. The role involves maintenance, fault-finding and repair of CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and fire alarm systems across commercial sites.

You will diagnose faults, carry out servicing, and complete small works with a focus on professional service and customer satisfaction. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fire & Security Engineer or related role.
• Strong practical knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and door entry systems.
• Experience with IP-based CCTV systems and networking.
• Proven ability to service, fault-find and repair fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across fire and electronic security systems.
• Service and repair IP and analogue CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and door entry equipment.
• Fault-find across control panels, networks, devices and system components.
• Maintain and test fire alarm systems across various sites.
• Complete small works, upgrades and installations as required.
• Liaise with customers and site contacts on faults and works.
• Produce service reports, job sheets and risk assessments.
