Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Regional Director - Fire Engineering in the UK to lead and grow a team of fire engineers within a multi-disciplinary design consultancy. You will steer large, complex projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and client satisfaction while developing staff and pursuing chartership.

The role requires extensive UK fire engineering experience, leadership skills and proficiency with FDS/SFE and evacuation tools. Hybrid working is offered with a focus on growth and client impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire engineering projects in the UK.
• Extensive experience in large multi-disciplinary environments.
• Proficiency with FDS, SFE and evacuation modelling software.
• Membership in professional institutions such as MIFireE and NFPA CFPE.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the team in workload, delivery and performance.
• Oversee delivery of large, complex projects meeting regs and client expectations.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline team and national leadership for on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Drive SMART goals and perform staff appraisals per PDPs and reviews.
• Mentor staff toward Chartership and professional development.
• Provide technical input to studies and designs across the portfolio.
• Support and mentor less experienced staff to grow expertise.
