Base pay range

Express Recruitment is delighted to be working alongside a leading Fire Alarm supplier in Nottingham. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Regional Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join their growing team where they will be future training to become a fully qualified Fire Alarm Service & Installation Engineer.

The successful candidate will be contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Call out rota is every 1 in 3 weeks (once trained), although Engineers are rarely called out. Individuals will still be paid a call out bonus for maintaining their availability.

In return will receive a competitive starting salary of up to £35,000 (will rise to £38,000 upon full completion of training). Other benefits include call out bonus, company vehicle, phone, laptop, and continuous training opportunities.

90% of this role covers Nottingham and the surrounding areas, no overnights stays!

• Attend client sites throughout Nottingham and East Midlands to carry out full scale servicing of fire alarms
• Arrange for broken or obsolete fire alarm systems to be replaced by Fire Alarm Installation Engineers
• Complete all necessary paperwork and document service reports
• Adhere to strict health and safety regulations
• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Attend necessary training workshops and certified training days as required to become a fully qualified Service Engineer

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer
• Holder of 18th edition desirable but not essential
• Full UK driving license essential
• Holder of DBS certificate or willing to have one done essential
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers
• Experience and knowledge of fire alarm installations desirable but not essential as training provided
• Flexible with overtime and call outs when required
