Base pay range

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Financial Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple maintenance/repair companies within the region. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, cost control, and overall financial health of the business units. The ideal candidate will drive financial strategies, optimize operational efficiencies, and support business growth through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Compliance & Internal Controls:
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Manage external audits and tax compliance activities.
• Operational Oversight:
• Analyze financial performance of HVAC branches and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with regional managers to optimize cost efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee inventory management, cash flow, and capital expenditures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across the region.
• Provide training and guidance to improve financial literacy and accountability.
• Business Partnering:
• Support strategic decision-making by providing financial data and trend analysis.
• Evaluate M&A opportunities and conduct financial due diligence as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• 3+ years of financial management experience.
• Experience in the HVAC, construction, or service industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
