Job summary

Hard Rock Cafe London is seeking a Regional Financial Controller to lead the UK finance function, ensuring robust governance, regulatory reporting, and strong internal controls. You will own monthly close, management reporting, and external audits, while managing payroll and balance sheet reconciliations for the UK cafes.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UK finance function to support governance and reporting.
• Oversee monthly and year-end close processes and management reporting.
• Coordinate external audits ensuring compliant, seamless processes.
• Manage biweekly UK cafes payroll through completion.
• Reconcile monthly balance sheets including cash, stock, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Prepare and submit monthly EU Sales Reporting and quarterly VAT returns.
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations and settlements.
• Liaise with banks and government authorities on financial requirements and compliance.
• Partner with Operations & Marketing to deliver efficient financial management.
• Supervise UK financial assistants on daily cash, A/R, COS, payroll and ad-hoc analysis.
